Your idea is likely 'fade' power. However, would be added to pawns instead of smilies. If this is the case, you're trying to suggest a pawn that allows partial fade animation and would be a power as flashrank that makes your pawn fade between the current pawn you have showing and your rank on the chat.

 

Based on these aspects, this power should require pawns to be used nor couldn't afford along flashrank. Otherwise, any pawns would be a visual mess attributed together.
