Here are a few things to try next time:

1. Try not to use two completely different fonts like that right next to eachother unless it is sub-text or something similar.

2. You need a new template, the corners on this one are pointed which is not going to fit correctly in a xat chat. There are many sources of free templates.

3. This background seems a bit simple. Try adding in some brushes or patterns/textures.

While it is obvious that you're new to the graphics community, anyone that gives you advice, you should accept willingly. Everyone has a different style so if someone gives you advice that you dislike, don't take it but also don't make it a big deal.

We want to help you grow and improve!

 

Edit: here is the edit that i created of it, only took like 15ish minutes. If you would like the PSD, i could post it. Also, if you want me to show you how to do any of the effects, just let me know.
