CLOSE ALL CHROME PROCESS BEFORE ANY ACTIONS.

Alright so the only solution I have found on my side is : Get flash player 25, then type ctrl + r and type %appdata% on the window.

It will open appdata folder; after go back to the "local" folder (appdata\Local), find the Google folder, click it, enter Chrome Folder > User data and then Pepperflash.

After you have to put the flash 25 files in the Pepperflash folder. (Dont forget to delete the current ones)

Tell me if it works.

Seems to work for some users. Try it and see if that fixes it. :p

I don't understand how this could work... Chrome uses an integrated player. You can't uninstall it using the control panel and you can't update it by installing it normally.

What Sloom posted seems like an actual logical solution.

edit:

I installed the version in Mike's pastebin, and then copied them from C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash into a folder named "25.0.0.171" in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\PepperFlash and it works.

I was bored and made a batch file that will download the installers and move the files. These are only around 39mb total (rather than 400mb zip download). You will need a dropbox account to download it, or just copy and paste it into a notepad file and save it as "chatfix.bat".

Chrome only.

Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/eowfwyrprfinxdm/chatfix.bat?dl=0

Source:

@echo OFF
powershell -Command "Invoke-WebRequest http://extbots.com/dls/flashplayer25_0r0_171_winpep.exe -OutFile flashplayer25_0r0_171_winpep.exe"
powershell -Command "Invoke-WebRequest http://extbots.com/dls/flashplayer25_0r0_171_win.exe -OutFile flashplayer25_0r0_171_win.exe"

START "" /W "flashplayer25_0r0_171_win.exe"
START "" /W "flashplayer25_0r0_171_winpep.exe"

ROBOCOPY "C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash" "C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\PepperFlash\25.0.0.171" /mir
RMDIR "C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash" "C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\PepperFlash\26.0.0.126" /S /Q

Meaningless to xat forum users, but SHA-1s:

chatfix.bat - d4b996d568043d5740eeee252de8d55fd99b5b84

flashplayer25_0r0_171_win.exe - 26265158e23196445acc8c2aa6edd501b2870b3c

flashplayer25_0r0_171_winpep.exe - b3bf8976f30a03ff1875c27a21405d58b0b4bc98

You can always download the installers, and adapt to your needs (without the whole archive):

So, hold up. If we just download this thing that'll fix the problem in and of itself? Alot of this stuff is going over my head, not afraid to admit that.

It's just an automated way of following the steps.

Mine says 26.0.0.126, yet I did everything correctly. Help.

Try mike's method: https://forum.xat.com/announcement/7-xat-chatbox-glitch-solutionworkaround/

And consider this while using his method: https://forum.xat.com/topic/3749-i-cant-type-in-chat/#comment-51029
