Some people pay to advertise so having a feature/button to block it wouldn't be the best idea.

 

With Adblock Plus, you can disable and enable the advertisements as you please (just turn it on or off).

The same if you are using adblock so adding the botton doesn't means the ads wont be there so just for you is the same to have adblock

Why would xat include a free (?) feature to block the ads when users pay to have their ad up there? 

 

Not everyone downloads (or knows about) ABP which gives users a chance for their ad to be seen.

i repeat however someone said  Adb can be used so is the same lol

It's more or less the same but if xat had it's own feature to disable them, a lot more people would have the ads blocked - thus defeating the purpose of paid advertising. 

 

Moral of the story: download ABP if you want to block them
