At the beginning of a new month, someone from the Contributor group will post a topic providing a summary for discussions that were discussed in the Contributor section during the previous month. This is to allow the community to be more informed and have a better understanding of the Contributor group. If you have any concerns or suggestions that you would like to be brought to the attention of the Contributor group, message any of the Contributors.

You can see our previous logs here.

Concluded Discussions

These topics are concluded and are no longer being discussed. If you have any concerns about the conclusion of these topics, feel free to send a message and I'll see what I can do to help you.

HTML5 Survey

  Hide contents

We created a survey to obtain useful feedback from users to improve the HTML5 version of xat chats. The group proposed and decided upon the most important questions to ask, and then organised them into a Google Forms file. The survey is now live and can be accessed here: https://xat.com/survey. Please complete the survey with your honest answers to help us improve xat!

xat Instagram

A member of the group proposed that xat joins the social media website Instagram. We are now happy to announce that you can follow xat on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/xat.chats/. You can win xats, enter exclusive contests, and stay up-to-date with powers, features, HTML5 and much more!

Ongoing Discussions

These topics are currently ongoing. If you would like to offer feedback and/or suggestions, feel free to send me a message, and I'd be happy to convey it to the rest of the group. You can also post a comment if you would like to offer feedback and/or suggestions.

Tribute chat specification guidelines

  Hide contents

A member of the group suggested we provide more public information about the criteria for successful tribute chat applications. This could help users make decisions by being better informed about whether they are ready or even eligible to apply. However, a counter-argument was raised that we want candidates to meet the criteria the natural way, acting on their own initiative and instincts - not because they were helped by a step-by-step guide. The discussion is ongoing.
