Even my bank doesn't block me for connecting from another country.

Very important and under represented point.

I've never understood why xat feels the need to have so many hoops to jump through to manage your own account (email changes, home location update, list goes on) and have more security measures than I can count on one hand like our xat accounts are the most important possessions in the world when more professional, important websites (like banks) realise that it's not necessary and something like 2FA is enough.

Account protection that cannot be turned off and makes you held and you can't do anything about it is not a useful security feature.

@Admin Loading issues with Mac OS safari .

Unable to successfully login and am stuck with please wait...

I've verified this is only an issue with safari

update: html5 version of xat works upon login even though the please wait does not change to successful, flash version does not work.

    Can confirm.

Using macOS (Mojave) with Safari (Version 12.1 (14607., "Please wait..." never changes and the chat doesn't load and does not login to flash xat (HTML5 works still).

However, the chat loads and "Please wait..." turns to the successful message with successful login to flash on https://xat.com/web_gear/chat/register.php (old page).

  4. Would be a useful small change.

It could be used as a macro, like: $stealth=help,1,xat_test,0 with 1=on and 0=off.

However, it doesn’t need to be this complicated. I would suggest more of a white list concept where only chats present in the macro would activate stealth.

    I.e $stealth=help,mychat

Would mean you’d be stealthed at help and mychat, but not at xat_test.

That's currently possible already, a single bot can run multiple games.

But, one bot = one user = only that user's games. What I mean is, you can run multiple games with one bot but you would only be able to run those multiple games from a single game dev at once.

And why would a chat owner want 10 people to be running 10 different bots at their chat? If they want users to be able to play games at their chat they can ask the main owner to add their game to the bot.

  6. Only requires one bot, the bot just needs multiple games programmed into it.

Ideally the bot should be able to load a “game module” (I.e. a version of the goApp() function) of sorts and be able to switch between modules. Even better drop the third party bot bs and be able to upload “game modules” to a xat-provided page and run it via GameBot

  7. How exactly would this work, the OP seems to lack any information except the advertisement of Mavericks game?

Maverick's game doesn't seem to fit with what the original post says either, will users be able to create their own games? Or just Maverick? I assume you won't be allowing people to run arbitrary code...?

    Chat rules, stats etc

    Mod of the month

    Custom Polls

Seems like it's just a side-app that allows you to put text on it, users can already do that below the chat?

We could have also add more smilies that looks related to the colored skull pawn.

I agree, it’s odd that there’s no smilies related to the instantly recognisable patterns/designs of this celebration.

yes but disagree with the required invert just make it more expensive than it lol

It's this or blocking a 10 degree section from being used with this power (so it can't be inverted) and then you still need 2 powers to be able to totally rotate your smilies.

Well, there's a bug I don't know if it is the tab or whatever but when I clicked button "staff" it shows a lot of undefined.

I got the same bug (on Help):

All I did was click the "+Help" button. Seems to happen every time.

Also, the first tab should be rendered active when the page loads, as many users put their rules here and wish them to be visible by default (or at least add this as an option).

  12. Seems like the ones defending the name are the ones who speak Spanish, and seems like they may be a bit bias because they understand it fine, and have nothing to say except “there’s nothing wrong with it!!!!!” “You’re closed minded!!!!!” “Stop being jealous!!!” (mega LOL at the last one) which is just playing the victim with no real argument.

Changing the name to English is not an attack on your language, culture or anything else. Multiple people have listed actual, real arguments against this and why it could be a problem, with myself even stating popular human computer interaction trends. See those posts.

I'm sure it would be a completely different story if this power was (沒有面對) or (لاوجه). Of course these are extreme examples but it seems needed to get through to some people.

This power would be similar to the power (sline)

The difference between these two powers would be that with this power you could modify the names of the smilies you throw at xat..

For example $sname=samuel,dollar.. By writing that you would be embodying the smilie

So when you write (samuel) in the xat you would be sending (dollar)

It seems a good idea for people who do not learn the names of smilies, perhaps because of their native language or other motives

I don't understand the point of this suggestion, if it's good for people who don't learn the names of smilies, how are they supposed to use the power if they don't know the name of the smiley they want to create a synonym for?

Also, if they wanted to use it to use smilies in their native language, wouldn't they have to create over 1000 pairs in the macro?

I don't think this idea really has a purpose.
