How can I make sure that I can delete chat messages?

Hello, When I used the Flash chat it was possible to delete chat messages. Then a cross icon was visible. Now I am using the HTML5 chat and the cross icon is no longer visible and it is also not possible to delete a message from the chat. I have already looked at the chat settings but I did not see anything to set this up. I hope someone can help me, thank you in advance! Example that the cross icon is not available
