I concur with Cheese and David; a sketch or early design concept would be good for people to give their feedback, or criticism. It seems the last few powers were rushed on the drawing board, and were only released to feed a hungry shark, and a lot of the powers are the exact same of their predecessors. Look at snowy and snowie for example. Same exact smilies, only one power is partially broken, and the other power is completely new. xat doesn't need more tumbling snow powers, or more snowball powers. The last 13 powers have been limited smilie powers, and the 14th was a function power. The last few powers were also released too quickly - just about 3 days apart from each other. I think xat could have a power release every 5 weeks. 3 powers in 2 weeks is way too many. Ghosty for example is the same exact animation, but just different faces. I expected the ghosts to maybe have some sort of animation that reflected the smilie, or even something similar, but they were what they were. I do support the contest and letting the community pick the next two powers, and I think xat needs to go with that approach more. There's a lot of good suggestions collecting dust on the forum that need to be revisited. Why not take a look at those powers before releasing a hundred more Christmas and New Year powers? xat can also release a poll system with a few options with their photos of the latest power to gain user feedback. What does this new power need, or even 'what power do you want? Function, smilie, epic, or cheap?"
The take heree is I think powers should be released quality over quantity. Let the time be taken with the power so the time and effort aren't seen as wasted, and let the idea be original, or someone's idea from the userbase can be implemented, too.
