  2. Hi, everybody! I just wanted to come on here and see how everybody has been doing the last two years during this pandemic. Anybody pick up a new hobby, or interest, or even find a significant other? Nothing really new with me, I have been working a lot and trying to save up to potentially buy my first house. Met some amazing people during this pandemic and still remain in touch! Currently in school to work on my Masters' to become a Nurse Practitioner! I've been working as a Registered Nurse for a hospital and unfortunately last year in September, I caught Covid-19. It was awful... was working the Covid-19 unit and was doing great by proper handwashing and being safe, but still ended up getting it! I hope everybody has been staying safe and maintaining social distancing when necessary. Please continue doing so!
  3. I have so many favorite shows, but as of right now... I've been binge watching The Golden Girls.
  4. Back in 2008. I remember I was on Club Penguin trying to find the mascots and one website introduced me to xat. Been on here ever since..
  5. Recently, I have been traveling in the United States along the East coast. I've been to New York City, Baltimore, New Jersey, Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and even Pennsylvania. A few years back I took a trip down to Miami, Florida and that was an amazing adventure too! But, the city I would absolutely love to go see is Las Vegas in Nevada. Would love to go gambling for a few nights there!
  6. Where do I feel happy? That's a good question. After working in healthcare for quite a few years and becoming a nurse, I feel most happy at the hospital I work at... when I am taking care of patients and able to provide them with the best excellent care! It's a very stressful job, but most rewarding at the same time. I've been in some terrible situations where I lost kids, teenagers, and even adults, but in the end knowing that you're doing everything you can, it can be rewarding.
  7. Just wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful support and comments you guys have been leaving on here. I most definitely would love to get my chat back up and running again, it's already been made and it's called "anxiety". I'm still in the process of trying to tweak a few things before I do, but will definitely let you guys know. Would love to see new and familiar faces on the chat! If you guys have any questions or concerns, please feel free to comment and I will try to answer the best I can! - Spawn
  8. Hello, everybody. I wanted to possibly start a discussion about a previous topic I made regarding anxiety. I made a chat room called; "anxiety", and it was actually getting popular and regular users were coming on. The main idea of creating this chat was to help others with anxiety and to just have a safe controlled environment to just talk. I understand people were mostly concern with having trolls, but that would be obviously handled by owners and moderators. Another concern people were having is that we weren't doctors or professionals, that's correct. When people are having a hard time dealing with anxiety and not having the proper skills to learn how to cope with it, they seek advice online -- such as a forum. Just to clarify, I am NOT a doctor or a professional therapist, but I am nurse and would love to spread mental awareness towards everybody. I believe it is healthy to talk about how you feel and receiving positive feedback. Now, my question towards the xat community... would you guys go to an online chat room that has people like myself, dealing with anxiety as an everyday problem -- giving feedback and allowing others to vent? We all know that the internet is sometimes not a safe place to go, but remember the chat would constantly have at least one moderator or owner in the chat, making sure everybody is following the rules and respecting one another. There will be links and helpful resources to also guide fellow xat users towards the right direction, such as phone numbers, website sources, and many more! Again, this is just a discussion, please do not turn this into a debate. My main goal is to spread mental awareness and give people a chance to know that there are people out there willing to listen and be helpful. If you see any problems about this, please be kind and I'll be more than happy to elaborate on any questions or concerns you may have. Hope you guys have a great evening/night and Happy Holidays! 9. Seems like everyone likes GTA 5! I tried playing Apex and I couldn't understand the controls of it all. Maybe I should try it again.
  10. I really hope they're working on a Grand Theft Auto 6 or something in the near future. Red Dead Redemption 2 was pretty good...but, I don't know. Kind of too much.
  11. Hi, everyone. I just would like to know what is your favorite game so far of this year? Mine would have to be Resident Evil 2. I absolutely love that game and it scared the socks off of me playing it. Comment below what yours is and what system you play it for. Mine is PS4!
  12. This is a tough one. If I had to pick, I would pick the blue door to go back to my 10th birthday, only because I would be 15 years closer to my death. I have a thing with dying, I want to live a long life. Then again, I would also pick the red door to have $50M at the age of 36.... I can't decide!
  13. Sleep paralysis...that must be a scary one. Thankfully, I don't believe I've experienced that before and if I did, I have no idea how or what to do in that situation. Good luck to you on that! And, maybe you should talk to somebody about that dream including the sleep paralysis.
  14. I've seen a lot of famous celebrities having mental break downs because the fame is too much for them! Crazy huh?
  15. We all have weird fears! Another weird fear of mine is probably becoming old. I have a lot of weird ones.
  16. Me personally, I want to become successful in life. I truly want to become famous and be noticed for a lot of things. It sounds like a corny goal, but I have dreams of making it big and living in California with a very nice house and with the perfect boyfriend (hopefully husband).
  17. Well, thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to read the post and then provide me feedback.
  18. Good luck on your journey in life. (hug)

  19. I also am afraid of heights, but I'm slowly trying to conquer that fear! Never had a problem with clowns before though. I totally understand this.
  20. It's late in the night and I just want to start a topic where everybody can talk. What are your biggest phobias that you have? I have two phobias that scare me which are, the fear of spiders (arachnophobia), and the fear of death (thanatophobia). I probably have a lot more, but just can't think of any. What about you?
  21. Good evening everyone on xat! I'm making this post because I truly want to spread mental awareness for everybody. Not everyone thinks anxiety is a mental illness, but to the people who truly have anxiety, they understand what it's like to live day to day with constant worry. I myself, struggle every single day with my mental illness, always trying to figure out the next 10 steps when I haven't even finished the first step, constantly worrying about the "what ifs", and was just recently diagnosed with OCD which stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Now, people who think of OCD, thinks of constant hand washing, counting steps, etc. But no, my obsessive comes from obsessive thinking. For example, let's say something really stresses or concerns me, I will constantly think about that certain topic, and then think of why I'm thinking like that, and then ask myself if it means anything since I'm thinking about it. It's a constant loop that sometimes I cannot break, so I sit down and try to distract myself by watching YouTube. I finally reached out to get help with my therapist to help me stop this constant worrying, it's definitely a long road ahead of me before I can even wake up and say that I feel better. I want everyone to know that is it perfectly okay to not feel okay and to seek help. If anyone here has any anxiety coping skills, please leave them in the comments below! And if you'd also like to share your own story with anxiety, please feel free to share! I hope everyone has a great day.
