xats are cheaper than ever. purple is not expensive because it literally came out like 10 years ago. what do you expect?
big will never be unlimited
actually xats are not cheaper then ever...unless perhaps if you buy from a scammer. Average cost is still 2.7-3.0.
Purple is NOT expensive because so many sold to afford ruby.
Releasing some bigs into the market would not hurt. How many can really afford EP anyway?
Admins never intended for powers to be so outrageous or so limited that the norm user could not obtain them.
Trade WOULD obtain more users in the long run and not the same users on 5 acct. to try and raise prices for their own personal gain.
I would be saying other if I felt keeping big at this degree would harm trade. it won't though. Releasing some would give more users way to profit.

Its about moderation. Prices need to have a good market for users but not be impossible to buy.
Users having multiple accounts to raise prices has always been an uncontrollable issue.
We can sort of guess that is what is happening here, when a power soars above purple.

It's a problem when it costs more then purple though.

Whoever suggested this idea 8 years ago should really look for royalties from Snapchat in that case, since this power is just xat's take on Snapchat filters.
Accessory was suggested. I personally do not look at powers.... Often times power ideas come from several sources and several extensions. Often times 2 or 3 ideas are turned into one.
You always this serious? Actually you just wouldn't have been part of the inside joke.

Thanks Mike..Only took 8 years to get it done. (was suggested over 8 years ago to 42) LOL Looks good.

We have been friends for so long. You are one of the handful that I consider a true friend. We reverse roles alot.
But we always have the same goal. You were my hope and my inspiration for the better xat that we both dreamed of. I failed to get @Admin
to see what they couldn't, or wouldn't, because of the bias nature. It's with true understanding that you know where my negativity comes from.
Funny isn't it......considering I was use to being told I was optimistic, and it would be the end of me.
There is always a new dream of tomorrow. But know this...you have not failed. You are an inspiration.

Am I missing anything?
Not sure why that is worded that way? He may of started it...but he led the community to speak their minds and let their voices be heard. To me the later, was more the milestone.
With contributors leaving...we don't see it worded as contributors leaving because Maverick was added.
Just an observation. Sorry if this offends.

Lots of doom and gloom in this interview.
But interesting to read, as always! Thank you for putting it together!
Who knew he spoke so many languages?
I knew <3
I don't see it as alot of gloom and doom. I see it as Bry speaking from his heart.
Beautiful interview. Even if we don't get to talk as much as we use to, I know that you are always one of the few
people I can turn to Bry. You and Mony will always be part of my heart and our huge family <3

I just laughed with the comments, a user said to go to another chat to buy it and return ...
When the finesse of an official chat is to be more accessible to the user, not privatize it or deny it a service.
Rather they are keeping the right of who can participate in the room. I SUPPORT THIS SUGGESTION TO MODIFY THIS.
Do you realize what modifying would do? Allow unregistered, trolls, spam bots, etc in. These people can not trade so there is no business for them there.
Any Trade mod will sell a day if pc'd and they have them available. A minor inconvenience of a few minutes in comparison to inconveniencing the whole chat 24/7.
No one is being denied service. @Vale can take the suggestion under advisement.

Accounts with a transfer block should still be able to buy directly from the xat store.Although, you could forward your proposal to admins, considering not everyone has that option. Why would someone want to buy with a held though? I personally wouldn't. That's also only good for store prices of unlimited. Not likely to get a limited power.........
I think alot of users raised very good points. I have little else to add. The volunteers should push for changes, as they are the voices of xat.

It seems the link on the account locked out page that directs to xat account locking is broke.

There's about a month of delays and they're being handled. I'm sure you'd understand amongst being busy, having to deal with drama and malicious slander coming from other volunteers isn't exactly effective in keeping up the morale and a steady pace. Someone has been proposed to take the spot and others have been proposed to get involved, retire or move onto less challenging departments. Pending admins.
I've heard at this point the delays affect all individuals within those departments relatively equally. Scam/phishing reports may take more time due to the investigation process, but little to no time (in terms or back of forth replies) is being wasted on pre-breach accounts that were held for security. And that brings us back to what Crow said. Yes, it has been years, but only because those users have taken years to open a ticket.
The delay was well before the drama and malicious slander, as you call it. It was due to it and the users frustration levels at having to wait for so long. Downplaying the problem or pretending it does not exist will not change the fact users are tired of waiting 3+ months. I dealt with the beginning of the data breach. I also dealt with disposable emails being a huge issue. I also was there when countries blocked xat and users found solutions to go around it, and the mess that created. I was there when we had to go back in time due to major exploits which reversed users trades and the mess it created, I was there when an entire ticket system was wiped out and we had to start from scratch, with all lost. Nothing frustrates me more then seeing volunteers either downplay an issue or make excuses. I would rather there be acknowledgment and a solution.

We have been told that it's because of trust . Which I think is a pathetic excuse because why make someone you don't trust a volunteer in the first place?
Its not as simple as that. Having a large magnitude of volunteers in the pot confuses things. Its easier to have 1 volunteer follow a routine trail then to have another try, be bad at it, and not know what they are looking for.
I disagree that ALL volunteers should be allowed into that pot. It can take years of training. With that said....I do believe that a few more are capable then are entered. I also believe that pot can be separated from the majority of the data breach holds
and a few more should be added to cover those.
I will make a speculation . Please understand this is my own theory and may not at all be true. I think the majority of the long delay is because those users effected by data breach are placed behind the phishing and scam reports as priority.
I think to fix the issue, xat needs to allow more volunteers to help with data breach problems alone.

You can find a list of volunteers who left xat on good terms here:
Sort of bogus post, as all are not listed. Here is everyone else DESPITE how they left.
Frankie
Joshua
Physical
Vincent
Honey
William
Alex
Brian
Maverick
Sean
are not Listed. And NOT all unlisted left on bad terms or asked not to be included.
A few volunteers listed were discharged, and 1 was not a ticket volunteer.

You say this, but resources have mentioned that Brandon makes the final decision on most things. If all volunteers were equal, why is Brandon the only forum admin? Shouldn't all vols have the "forum admin" status if they're all "equal"? Maybe Muffins, since he is the other Help main? Or someone who won't abuse their power? Someone like Mike, perhaps?
And this is what makes you smarter then some. Andre is correct as there is no title given as "head volunteer". However, certain volunteers are given more permissions then others. And usually 1 is given more permissions then all the rest.
I use to say it was due to trust. Now I believe it is more due to convenience.

you're starting to sound a lot like @Christina
have there been discussions of having a "head vol" to keep things in order. because there seems to be a lot of disagreements happening within the team. fighting with each other isn't going to help the situation at all.
I appreciate you mentioning me and always being there for me and looking out for me. Truth is I am debating if I want to partake in this subject. I also need to decide how I want to approach it. I guess with pride. For over a year I have fought for the voice of xat as a whole to be heard. I have fought with Admins. I have fought with volunteers. This is no secret. I have fought for the users. For me...seeing the community come together as a whole, and voicing their concerns and opinions and reaching out for that change that xat needs to thrive.....makes me proud. Seeing the few volunteers step up and watching them grow, and showing they care more about the users and what is best for the future of xat, makes me proud. This is my legacy....not some title.
To move forward..we need change. This is clear.

No one has any business to a users account. If the family wants something of value from it, whether xats or just the memories of the account, they can contact admins, as has been done in past. There are laws governing this.
-
I guess for me despite the safety issues and too address solely what most here have focused on...
The title is a disgrace. One made up to honor those you choose.
You have failed to honor the original volunteers before there was title listed on wiki.
You have failed in giving someone title who was not a ticket volunteer, despite stating the honor is for those.
You have failed at learning the history of the volunteering community and by classifying certain individuals who would
not deserve based on the "standards" presented, while discrediting others. Congrats!
It really is just some pretty colored letters on a forum that has 0 merit. I hope that I have enlightened some and educated others.
Keep the title so as not to cater to those who may be bitter or weak as Steven suggested, if it makes you happy.
