I don't know if this has been previously suggested but admins can implement an command to add friends by regname eg: /fxat /ftom2 and in the end the id of this "friend" would be added as in the old command.

honestly, i think xat will not change, it's just going to die as it is, since even the admins do not care about xat, it's up to us to accept the facts.

Maybe it's because they get xats for free direct with xat admins... or i'm wrong?
