Only Admins should have that call.

Admins are focused on more important things than titles, which is why it was delegated to the Contributors to decide criteria. ;)

Seems this debate keeps popping up every three months when the community should be focused on more important things!

It doesn't "help the users" to keep debating this silly question.

  2. I know this is two days late but, Happy National Coming Out Day to all my xat.com gays (hug)

To those of you not out, consider this day as a show of how freeing it feels to be out. It gets better and the journey is worth the destination (but don't rush it)!

To those of you who are out, celebrate and show how proud you are to be queer.

I'm at an awkward stage where, if asked, I will admit to being gay, however I still have not told my family. As Brandon said, it's really really difficult to tell the people you care about the most and especially if you don't know how they are going to react. Even though I try to tell myself people won't care and nothing will change, I just can't bring myself to say the words.

I am in a relationship with someone who is very much in the closet. It's tough. It's exactly as you described it for him. He knows nothing will change but whenever he even thinks about saying the words, he gets very anxious. I hope one day society doesn't make people have to go through this horrific and liberating experience and being queer is normal. However, I doubt that will be anytime soon. Until then, these success stories are important. They show people that life is either the same or better for most once they come out of the closet. It helped me to watch YouTube/hear about others. It warmed me up and made me even consider the idea of acting on my feelings.

I have never tried Pepsi. May be the only one on earth.

I am also from Canada and have never tried poutine.

I've never had Nutella - or any other kind of nut- because of an allergy. I have also never had an energy drink.

Some of the most adventurous foods I have eaten include live shrimp, sea urchin, escargot (snail), octopus, and chicken feet.

  6. I don't understand why people don't get that not anyone can be a volunteer.

It's not even as simple as adding new volunteers. We could have 100 volunteers who are incompetent and make it even worse.

Something new like Club Penguin? How does Club Penguin even compare to xat. Be a little more specific?

Point taken!  I only suggested wiki editors because they are more knowledgeable in where to direct for help.  Free translator app is actually going in the right direction.

Sure, Wiki Editors can direct you to get help but being a Wiki Editor doesn't mean you know enough to provide proper help. :p

I also don't understand how keeping dead chatrooms which have no users (and no helpers) would be a better solution.

It would be a worse solution.

Imagine being a new user and going to a dead help chat for your language. What would you expect about xat?

It's better to go to Assistance or Help and use a translator than go to a dead chat dedicated to a specific language or get help from some unknowledgeable person ranked just to keep the chat alive.

What I would recommend is making the translator app free and not just for subscribers. :d
