Some smilies? More than 20 smileys were made, and the main smilies were also made ... (smile) (biggrin) ....

I specify that the following text is my personal OPINION and NOT an official one: If they did not use the "/sm/" folder for the old smilies, it is because, the smilies that are in the folder "sm" do not seem to be used on the chat for the simple reason that the animation of each smilie is broken (not all but some of them!) since smilies are created in AS2 version and wouldn't work on the AS3 version. (I'm probably wrong idk! I'm just saying what i see!)

If you think i'm wrong, just test yourself and see the result.

If they wanted to use SM folder, they would just use it instead of redo every smilies with old face/hands.

Plus this power allowed to update some smileys that still use the old smiley style.

you are like 80% correct about the as2 as3 smilies. they dont work properly because of how loading smilies has changed

If it crashes if you change it every 50 ticks, can you guarantee it won't crash if you change it every 200 after a longer period of time?

the reason it crashes at that quick of a speed if because im not unloading anything in my code so its just pilling up

i just did some sloppy code just to show how it would work, maybe ill finish it and perfect it later

I'm curious to know if it is possible to make a power where it only notifies or makes a noise when someone private chat's or PC's you something personally and not formally and openly on the group chat. I feel like this power will be very efficient as a lot of users will be doing something else in the meantime whilst they wait for their "special" person to reply back to their message. This power will be beneficial and should be pretty straight forward. No idea on the price of it but I feel like this is a good idea.

this has kinda been suggested in a different way( different volume toggles for different sounds)

  4. this idea came to me randomly while messing with random power.

so this is how it looks:

    hyEBbUA.gif

    How it works:

change your flag name to "random".

to add flags to the random list simply add #wFLAGNAME

ex: (glow#0#flag#random#wus#wpr#wpaw#wjr#u) which is what i used in the gif

the flag changes every 200 ticks.

it looks super smooth changing every 50 ticks but it crashes flash after a while(could be due to sloppy coding idk)

The only scenario where I'd consider changing the color of the home-page background, would be to combine it with the color of the buttons.

Button colors are always set to match with the chat background colors. So it makes sense to have the icons background combined too.

What I'll suggest is: xat can change the way that 'Button colors' field works (I'm referring to the field below):

    0ac0a3f9fbe94ef5bcb3fbc3ab1bf669.png

The color code applied there would also change the color of the home-page background (would be a feature-approach idea, free to main owners)

Below, a power-approach idea, requiring name powers. You'd change the color through a macro but it would require power(s) to do so

    $homepage=COLORCODE#GRAD#FLAG

If you have namecolor, you can change the color of the background.

If you have namegrad, you can set a gradient color

If you have namewave, you can set a wave effect

If you have nameflag, you can set a flag (not sure if it would be possible since the icon is too small).

So it wouldn't need a new power for you to change your own home-page background color, but existent ones (and related to name modification)

    One more thing:

The get xats, help and eight ball icons also have colors that I wish I could change but they don't annoy me. They look good, same for the home-page.

Light blue is sweet. Imagine if the background color was yellow or red instead!

    Thanks for reading.

ok just to see how it would look i made the home button follow the color of all other buttons from chat settings

Good idea. I also like Stah's idea of adding the pawn code to the nickname if the user clicks on the pawn from the window

Might get some people upset if they have their hats changed by mistake. So I'd add a confirm window, in case the automatic technology gets added :p

    My suggestions (what I'd add/change):

    1. Make the xat window that displays pawns to open when you click on the (hat) smiley.
Making the window to open when clicking on the (hat) works better since hat is required for the pawns to work

Similar to when you click on a smiley to assign a power. You'd get the pawns window though

    2. I'd rename the window title to: "Available limited pawns", and or "Available hats and pawns" if classic hats are added too.

And also remind xat that the chat box translations would need to be updated because of the new texts.

    3. If you don't have the required power, the text of the hat code would appear in grey but the pawn would still display (even if you don't have the power).

    4. When you mouse over a pawn, a text will show with the name of the power that it requires to work (similar to the tooltip effect).

I think that the classic hats should be displayed too (they first then after the limited pawns).

Imagine if you want to add the rabbit ears to the snowman pawn.

If you click on a hat code, xat will edit only the first letter of the hat code from your nickname.

If you click on a pawn code, xat will replace only the letters that come after the first (limited pawn code).

For instance (simulation): If you open the pawns window, and click on the globeback pawn next, the hat will be changed to: (hat#h376)

If you click on the rabbit ears after doing this, the code will be modified to (hat#r376).

Following this idea, there's a chance that not even color codes would get messy

What I mean by messy: If you clicked on the rabbit ears it could change to (hat#r) which would be wrong because it would erase the current hat code: (hat#h376)

Same can happen to color codes that come after the hat code.

What I mean by classic hats: Football helmet, baseball cap, beer mug, rabbit ears, egg, santa hat, etc.

Note: If you dislike suggestion no. 4, another window can pop up in case you click a pawn which you don't have the required power for (Stah's idea).

Although I believe it'd be easier and faster to mouse over all of them pawns, than to click one by one for checking.

added 1 - 4, working on making it change your pawncode.

Didn't know you actually opened a thread and replied to the other, so I'll post it again.

Some pawns are required to be "naked" in order to work. This isn't new and it's actually quite common. It doesn't necessarily mean it's broken and I think it's intentional.

also alot of these pawns were added before typing was a thing so typing can break pawns aswell

What if when you clicked it it would add it to your name? (or replace if you already have a hat)

To extend this, if you don't have the power it would say "You don't have the power" or "You need ___ to use this pawn"

this was planned already but i wanted to post this before just to see if i should change anything
