  1. I want to go somewhere cold because summer is my arch-nemesis.
  2. I was trying to think of something creative to say but I gave up. I hope you can all cope with being disappointed in me. EDIT: @LaFleur told me to post another recipe so this time I'm telling you how to make a hearty dinner that's suitable for veggies but hopefully tasty for meat eaters too. This is easy to make for all of you who never learnt how to cook and are living off of microwave meals or instant ramen. Measurements are probably a bit naff since I wing this most of the time. INGREDIENTS: 1 can chopped tomatoes 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped or pressed it really doesn't matter Diced onion (I use frozen onion and just chuck some in the pan because who chops things themselves?). You can add red onion too if you're feeling adventurous Black pepper Dried mixed herbs (maybe 1tsbp it depends on how herby you like things ok) About 500ml vegetable stock? I can't really remember how much I put in. 1 can of mixed beans 2 vegetarian sausages- if you're in the UK Linda McCartney is a good brand for these, otherwise if you're not vegetarian just use regular sausages. Optional: You can add some extra vegetables- I like spinach and sweetcorn personally. I think that's it... METHOD: Throw those sausages in the oven While they're cooking fry the garlic and onion a little until they're golden Add the beans (make sure they're drained and rinsed first), chopped tomatoes and vegetable stock Add in the mixed herbs and pepper to taste Once the sausages are done chop them up into nice bite-size pieces and throw them into the mix Do a little shimmy Simmer for about 15 minutes, in the mean time cook some pasta or rice to serve it with. Whatever you like It's done, you are no longer starving! Hope you guys enjoy.
  3. I'll be sure to check it out some time But mainly my comment was related to Twilight. I'm just not a fan and having to pretend to like it for months because all my friends did was exhausting. I'm sure there are other movies/series with vampires that I would like but the majority of them won't really be that accurate in portraying what a vampire really is, at least according to folklore.
  4. I don't think they exist, and it's probably a good thing that they don't. These romantic depictions of vampires shown in things like Twilight or in animes probably aren't that accurate considering vampires are pretty much walking corpses that feast on your blood and 'life essence'. Even if they were, I very much like being able to go about my day without some edgy, sparkly being waltzing around my university giving me weird looks from a distance, watching me sleep and pretending that doesn't make me want to stake them.
  5. I believe there is life on other planets, like other people have said it's extremely unlikely considering the vastness of the universe that Earth is the only planet capable of housing life. How 'intelligent' that life is I don't think people can be sure, but I do sometimes like to think that there are other intelligent beings like us who ask the same questions we do.
  6. I like to keep mine simple. When you want to be suave and impress the ladies : (hello#comeon) When you finally accomplish something but it really isn't that impressive: (meh#pty)
  7. Don't we all? I agree with this but unfortunately I overestimate what is 'reasonable' and end up disappointed anyway. It's still a good piece of advice though!
  8. It's hard to choose between some of the characters in Lilo and Stitch. I like Lilo because she can be awkward and has trouble fitting in, which I relate to. I also like Nani a lot too because she tries her best to be a good big sister to Lilo but also handles things by yelling 'Go to your rooooooom!', which is probably how I would cope around children as well. She also gets easily stressed out which I can also relate to. In short, I like these characters because I am socially awkward and get easily stressed. Putting in Stitch would probably look better in the background, though. (If you've already made the bg it's ok, I just wanted to answer the question)
  9. If you could give someone one piece of advice that would help them to be happier, what would it be? I would tell them "don't worry too much about what other people think", but I'm a bit worried they might find it stupid. Post your tips here!
  10. I love my Samsung Galaxy. Never used an iPhone before but from what I can see of them they don't seem to be as high quality as Samsung's phones, plus my galaxy is in a lovely green colour that I don't think the iPhone comes in!
  11. My favourite sport to play is probably badminton. Let's be honest here- I spend A LOT of time sat down on a computer, so a sport that doesn't require me to have coordination or a reaction time better than a cat that has just come back from the vets and is still a bit drowsy from anaesthetic is going to be a favourite of mine.
  12. You said to post anything so I'm posting the recipe to a cheesecake. Ingredients: Softened cream cheese (678g) Granulated sugar 1 1/4 cup 5 large eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla extract Sour cream 1/2 cup Butter and biscuits for that buttery biscuit base (base, biscuit base...) Love <3 How to make: I'm sure you're smart enough to mix things together and bake at 350f (gas mark 4) for 30 mins, reducing to 325f (gas mark 3) for 30-40 mins before leaving in the oven for 15 mins in the leftover heat! P.S. I forgot to mention you bake this in a water bath.
  13. ClearBots, because your name is Cleon and it sounds similar Also because the bots will (hopefully) be easy to use and the name reflects it! 10/10 name suggestion, hopefully I haven't inadvertently taken someone else's name.
  14. I'm looking forward to beating playing with you all on Town of Salem! But watch me get roles like werewolf or arsonist the entire time
  15. Made me cry: Marley and Me. It's always sad when an animal dies, especially a well-loved family pet Why don't they live longer?! Made me laugh: I remember as a kid finding Shrek 2 absolutely hilarious. I can't think of anything more recent that made me really laugh, but if I do I'll edit this post.
  16. Don't be so scared to try new things and meet new people.
  17. I am also from the UK, more specifically England! It'd be nice if I could post a pretty picture of where I'm from like Crow did but it kind of sucks.
  18. This item is what you will use to defend yourself against an incoming zombie invasion. How screwed are you? I have a set of keys on a lanyard... not sure what I'd do with those. They'd probably make a lot of noise, too. Edit: I see this has been moved to forum games. I wasn't sure whether to put it there or not since it doesn't really require much interaction between users like the other games, but if it feels more appropriate here I guess that's ok.
  19. I like to keep my phone nice and tidy too.
  20. But is it your dream job? If you dislike your current job, what would you rather be doing as a career?
  21. This can be something you're actively working towards right now, or something you hope to do in the future. Alternatively, you could post a completely unrealistic dream job that you would love to have. Realistically, I'd either like to work as a clinical psychologist or go into research in neuropsychology. Right now I'm studying for a degree in psychology, but then I have to do a masters and a doctorate after! What about you?
  22. Christmas for sure. I always enjoy the time off from doing work and just relaxing, during the Easter Holidays I don't really feel like I can enjoy them since I need to prepare for exams later on. Getting presents is also a big plus and I don't particularly want too much chocolate so Easter isn't that special to me.
  23. The main difference is that taekwondo focuses on developing kicks, there are punches and strikes but the majority of moves are performed by the legs. Karate focuses more on punches and strikes while legs are more of a backup.
  24. What do you like to do in your spare time, other than go on xat? This can be something simple like listening to music or watching youtube videos, or can be a bit more involved. I've recently started learning taekwondo and when I get the time I like to volunteer at an animal shelter. Otherwise I just like to relax and listen to music, and occasionally doodle. Talk about your hobbies here, I'd like to hear some interesting ones- I'm pretty sure we all like to eat and sleep in our spare time (I wouldn't even consider those 'hobbies'), so try to be a little more creative in your responses.
