  1. Hi there. System error 55 means you are held indefinitely. This could be due to breaking the terms, receiving stolen xats or even sometimes some accounts were held due to inactivity (which was in error a while ago). You can get this resolved or ask why you are receiving this by opening a ticket under 'Account Block". There are many tickets being opened in that department so please be patient while you are waiting for a response. Ensure your subject of your ticket is at least 5 words.
  2. Not bad! I agree with Tinker.. My favourite has to be 'Love Like You'. It's always nice to see Canadian singers coming out!!!!! I just think some of them should be shortened as I feel they are kinda long. Other than that, they are really nice!
  3. I don't really think these are really that necessary. We already have a bunch of powers that limits users or makes it harder for users to talk (reverseban, mute, naughtystep, redcard, jumblejinx etc). If you really just don't want someone to talk for 10 minutes, you can simply just mute them for 10 minutes.
  4. I agree with Steven that the idea of having the actual shape of the pawns changed would be neat. I think a power with cards, chess pieces and game smileys (like pool, connect four etc) would be pretty cool, too. I've always wondered why the cards played from hearts never actually became smileys. Maybe these pawns could be incorporated with some sort of game themed smileys power.

  6. Omg you never said you were an Ariana fan in your introduction!!! Yassss!!!
  7. Yessss wooo Ariana!!! Ariana > you @Steven
  8. Of course this couldn't be made due to copyrights. However, that doesn't mean a similar idea can be made. What you wrote literally is exploding my mind with ideas. If people love this whole catching a pokemon thing, why can't a similar concept be applied to xat? I love the Pokemon go catching on the bot. But, generally I think something better could be implemented on xat with this idea (not saying the Pokemon go catching on the bot is bad). So, why not a catcher power? There are over 300 powers on xat. Why can't there be an application to the left that can be an application to catch xat powers? You would obviously need catcher power to use the application. Depending on your location on xat, you'd be able to catch certain powers. There'd be a map of the xat planet and it could also show chat names or something of nearby powers. Epic powers would be much harder and rarer to catch. These powers could be on a xat 'planet' and could also show other users playing the game. Maybe users would have to shoot the planet with xats (aka coins in the game) to catch the power. Miss the power more than 3 times and it runs away! Coins could be awarded by finding powers on the application or even the amount of time users are on the application. Another idea could be the user would have to do a mini pop question about the power to fully catch the power.... Get it wrong and you lose that power! You would be able to catch the same power more than once. Thus, maybe something like gift your power to an online user etc could be implemented on the application. I guess this game would be ongoing or never ending as there is typically a new power on xat almost every week. Hopefully my idea makes sense to you. Although this will probably never happen, I really like the concept and this could get many users involved.
  9. Personally I'm okay with smileys with a half body. I feel they'd be a lot smaller if they were a whole body and would get annoying. The face is the most important part in my opinion. It's all about the emotions and expressions and not so much what the feet are doing (unless of course it was a power like kick boxing or something). And I actually really like the add on smileys to purple... The half body smileys sorta ressembles like the purple pawn (a head and a half body).
  10. Lemon pikachu everyone lol. Gotta catch them all summer long!
  11. We all love dancing right? And I think we all can say that we get pretty excited while chatting with our friends. Thus, I think it's time we get some updated dance move smileys to go with our amazing music jamming in private chat / in main. So.. GROOVE power!! Note: These smileys would be yellow smileys with arms/feet. Smileys: (dab) - The one and only dab smiley. Can be a perfect smiley to use in private chat. One arm goes up while the other goes down while you bend down. Example: (sidetoside) - A smiley that grooves then moves side to side. Example: (grooveup) - A smiley that moves side to side with an arm going up. Example: (groovehop) - A smiley that is hopping backwards like a bunny. Example: (groovework) - A smiley that lifts one foot up while bringing one arm up. Example: (grooveswish) - A smiley that swishes their feet side - to - side. Example: (groovetap) - A smiley that is tapping their feet. (Excuse the St.Patty's day hat.. only one I could find that shows what I wanted) Example: (grooveclap) - A smiley that is doing a clap dance. Example: Pawns could be like a dancing pawn where it has some shoes that are tapping or a pawn moving side to side. This power would also make a great hug power because you could have like a bunch of dancing smileys on a dance floor etc. Feel free to add any additions or your opinion!

    Time stamps

Would be a very nice feature. If mobile beta has message timestamps, I don't see why chats can't eventually have this feature.
  14. Your idea to combine the guidelines into the general guidelines is a good idea. I like your suggestions to them. There really aren't that many, but again, guidelines are there for reminders. All in all, you make good additions. Hopefully could get implemented in the future.
  15. Lately, there has been much confusion and frustration with the Suggestions section on this forum. Some people are simply posting a straight package of smileys from google and claiming it’s done, while others just keep posting suggestions that are already created (and many other examples). Thus, I am opening this up to discussion as to whether you guys think if guidelines were put in place, cases like the ones I mentioned would be reduced. The guidelines could be something like this (feel free to add your opinion or any additions): 1. Read the HOW – TO – SUGGEST thread before posting a thread in this forum section. 2. Search the forum to ensure your suggestion isn’t already suggested. 3. Use an existing thread to add your voice to, where possible. 4. This isn’t the complaint forum. Thinly veiled complaints are not allowed. 5. Use proper etiquette when posting. This forum is for suggestions to benefit the forum and/or xat. If your post does not add to the discussion of a suggestion, do NOT post it. Posts like “I agree” or “I do not know” are examples. I understand there was a similar thread discussing about comments like “I like” but this is more about general guidelines in the Suggestions forum. Personally, I feel that these guidelines would reduce threads similar to what I mentioned from being created. I also think people would be more serious when posting in this section. The guidelines are viewable from the forums main index whereas the HOW TO SUGGEST thread isn’t as easily viewable. Let me know your thoughts…

    Chic Power

Beautiful suggestion! I love how you drew some of your smileys (VERY WELL DONE!!). Couple additions: -Maybe one with a pair of sunglasses? -One with a large bow on their head? For the shopaholic smiley, maybe it could also be holding a credit/debit card? All in all, I truly love all the smileys you are suggesting. P.S.. Don't feel bad about naming it chic... I mean... I suggested LEMONAde power xD
  17. As *nearly* always, I completely agree with you. This isn't suggesting anything. Any smiley maker can go on google and find cool images to find ideas. There is a huge difference between giving an example of a smiley of that power and suggesting a whole smiley pack from google. Take this website for example. Someone could easily just screenshot these smileys and suggest them. This is totally unfair to the people who actually put effort into suggesting something. There is a how to suggest thread and why don't people read it I'm not sure. Sure they are cool smilies but they aren't yours and you didn't even explain each smiley. People need to put more effort into reading how to suggest something and the already-made suggestion threads (like suggest an animal power). Xat is allowing users to post suggestions and ideas but I'm sure they'd appreciate them with explanations and effort. If suggesting something was as easy as just posting 1 image of smiley packs from google, I'm actually shocked there isn't 5000 suggestions of them currently. The how to suggest thread has been there almost since this new forum has been here and Elie recently added to that thread a few weeks ago. So, if it was always there why weren't they being cracked down sooner? I am glad this is finally being handled.

    Yes or No

Sometimes (yes) but I bet you do. Love it xoxo @Jenna Do you like Nike's?
  19. By opening the ticket, it will be resolved. As Arthur stated, many tickets are being opened here so please be patient as you wait for a response. All you can do is open a ticket and wait.
  20. Hello. Open a ticket under the "Account Block" help topic. Make sure the subject of your ticket is 5 words or more. Your issue will be resolved in the ticket.
  21. Hi. Your xatspace could have been deleted for not following the xatspace css guidelines or having inappropriate content etc. To get this resolved, open a ticket under 'Account Block'. You may ask why it was removed and if you are allowed to have another chance. <Removed>
  22. Wow you make it sound like writing novels is bad. I do agree with you that a rule should be in place... Especially after this 'No posting 'Nice id' in ID Sales'. Have to add that @Sydney is not quite an advanced member yet! Hehehehhe . However, I somewhat agree with you. If there's any normal users who represent the voices of xat users, it's probably the contributors. As a strong student voice advocate, users do need to have their voices heard and I think that's an integral part to xat. They need user feedback and they need those ideas and opinions. Seeing people post 'nice idea' etc is showing me that I should probably be questioning if there's really strong user voice/feedback/opinion within the contributors forum and if they are really representing the whole community. You make a very good point here. I think the rules would have to be very detailed.
  23. I am completely against the "Nice idea I like" "Cool idea" comments. First of all, there is a like button, so use it??? Sure everyone is free to speak their opinion, but is posting good suggestion or I agree really adding to the discussion? Sorry but NO. I believe if someone wants to say something like "I agree" they need to give reasons or an explanation as to why they do. If someone says "good suggestion", they at least need to support why they like the suggestion. This could be something so little like "I really like your suggestion! I think the *handshake smiley* would be very useful with conversations on xat." What else is annoying is when people get likes just for saying "Good suggestion". Shouldn't the person who created the thread be credited for that suggestion? According to this, an internet forum is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages. What kind of conversation is constantly saying "Good idea", "I like", "Cool suggestion" with no reasoning or thought?? If you guys are going to create a rule that doesn't allow users to say "Nice ID" in the ID sales section, why can't there be a rule that doesn't allow users to say "Nice idea" in the Suggestions section? Overall, I think a forum thread in General Discussion/suggestions should look like this: 1. The quality of the initial discussion/suggestion the user created. 2. The quality of the response posts. Some users will make thoughtful and informative posts to the discussion/suggestion, and some will give minimal responses. However, you should provide feedback to users too. If a user posts a high-quality discussion/suggestion, you should tell them with reasons why. And, if a users posts a low quality discussion/suggestion, you should tell them with reasons to support why. 3. The depth of the discussion/suggestion thread. I think a low quality post does not contribute anything or substantial to the discussion/suggestion with little detail. Examples of low quality responses are things like: any response which is off topic, is poorly thought-out, confusing / any post which is disrespectful of another user etc. Whereas, a high quality post is something that adds something positive or substantial to the suggestion/discussion with reasons why. If a user constantly posts low quality posts that don't contribute anything really, are they really that useful to stay on a thread? Btw your thread is really funny. Good job.
