This forum has descended into chaos. Counting down the seconds until tomorrow... Is this ban related to the 'ignore' option, with the grey pawn? If so, this ban would be similar to gag, but with the addition of stopping users from private chatting everyone, including friends. Not sure about the name, but this could work. Or you could be thinking something completely different, haha.

We definitely need more! Sometimes I feel a bit limited in expressing myself, where a different face would be more appropriate than another. My particular favorites are (A), (hehe) and (awe), and I use these all the time in the chats! Please add all of the free yellow ones! =)

The problem is, this pawn is so good it'll be epic. And that leads a few problems. Firstly, it needs to be the same weight as purple, gold, and ruby, in the sense that the pawn will hold for all ranks. Personally, I can't imagine crystal pawn disappearing when you become mod or owner, like pink and blueman do. This is my opinion. You could argue crystal is worth less than blueman, but, personally, I can't see this happening. Therefore, crystal pawn will be expensive. Possibly 10k+ xats. Then you'll have the everypower users complaining because they're already paying 300k+ xats for the privilege of having ruby. They may think "why am I paying an extra 10k+ xats for an inferior pawn which I'll never use?". Personally, I think the pawn is fabulous, and I'd love it to be made (or yellow/silver). But these are just my thoughts and speculations.

The code idea sounds really useful. I like it for two reasons: It would stop power codes from turning into smileys. The text would therefore be clearer and easier to read / copy. (Yes, you could miss off the closing brackets instead, but this seems more convenient). You can copy text that would otherwise trail off the chat (particularly with long namegrad codes). You could do both these things with pastebin, but this code feature seems a little more convenient. The image idea, however, I'm not so sure. From your example, the image takes up a lot of space in the chat, and it could be a pain having to constantly scroll up to read the text. Would it lag the chat too, if it had animations? I don't think this image idea will happen, because links seem fine as they are, but I never thought hugs would be made either... Having said that, however, images no doubt contribute a lot to these forums, and they could have the same effect on the chat too...

I agree with this suggestion, to some extent. Forcing people to explain themselves should help reduce the pointless likes, and bring more consistent reputations across the forum. Like you say, it may also help people to improve their posts, if they realise what they are doing wrong. This would also improve the standards of the threads. On the other hand, however, I might not feel like typing "made me laugh" / "said something witty" for every like I give. Thank you for explaining this, @Stah. I was wondering why he was getting so many downvotes when other people basically doing the same thing within the same threads were going untouched. When have I ever gotten 5 rep for anything? lol, I like your optimism though! And aw, thank you @TinkerDoodle and @Stah for your kind words. I look forward to your posts/suggestions too! (And there's no need to upvote this just because I complimented you either, though I'm sure many other people would with their friends)! We don't need long, complicated posts or anything - just something other than a generic "nice idea".

Great suggestion! Unsociable people (like myself) without friends in real life can now get drunk with people on Xat instead! I always felt like I was missing out during my teenage years... In fact, this is even better than the real thing, because I can save money too! (well, depends how many xats it costs...) As for the underage Xat users, this is as close to a drink as they'll get. Let's introduce them early!

It's an interesting one. I can't imagine ever typing these out on the chat, but at the same time, I think we'd be missing out if we didn't have these famous buildings on Xat somewhere. Most of them are iconic and we should be proud to have them. =) I love the Burj Khalifa idea. It's such a majestic building, and it would be quite funny seeing the world's tallest skyscraper shrunk down to a few pixels. As for London, I'd be far more inclined to include the Gherkin building than the Lloyds building, if you're looking to avoid the typical Palace of Westminster. Admittedly, I had to look up the Lloyds building myself, and I'm from England, but I may just be uncultured.

We all know how fun tetris is, and we'd all love it to be made! But basically this. We don't want to risk people losing millions and millions of xats just for something you can play on another website. But it's still a good idea, and hope it can be made intelligently and legally.

I feel like a walrus would be more interesting, with the tusks and everything, but this idea is also cool. I suppose the problem is making them look like seals with the limited space available, i.e. if you can't get the tails in. But it's a nice refreshing idea, and I hope you get support for it! =) Can we get a hugging seal too, with the flippers? Edit: Fair enough if you're including water too. I was focusing on the other image you included in the post.

I remember this suggested on the old forums haha. I'm sure the same things will be said too: it's cute but it won't happen. While Star Wars is as popular as ever, its characters are still property of Disney and LucasFilm. Even if they were allowed, I'm not a massive fan of overly cute things anyway.
