  1. xat seems quiet today, so we're going to push what was planned for today back to tomorrow... Monday, May 2nd we will have a Spaceban and Spacewar tournament for 1000 xats. 4:00 PM EDT (current New York time)/21:00 GMT+1 (current London time).
  2. Town of Salem tomorrow! It'll work the same as last time. Winners will split the 1000 xats prize. Saturday April 30, 3:00 PM EDT (current New York time)/20:00 GMT+1 (current London time). Thinking of something different for Sunday, will post more tomorrow!

I took you saying "SO try again" as your way of expressing anger. If I misinterpreted it, I apologize. I'm not going to respond further about it because I don't think the forum needs yet another argument.

I was just explaining his post... I didn't "try" anything, so there's nothing for me to try again... You are against pen and paper here for keeping track of scammers (which I agree with, that's ridiculous). That was what I was explaining. No need to get angry. For the record (as I have already said) I think this power is a very good idea.
  5. I hereby declare this the last post in the thread, that I am the winner, and that anybody who challenges this post must pay me 10,000 xats and admit their defeat immediately afterwards.

He was referencing an earlier suggestion that trade logs be written down manually with a pen and paper, because Tina was against pen and paper for one situation but not the other, lol I found it funny.

I think this is a good suggestion. In my mind it isn't about categorizing your friends, it's about sorting them so you can find their names in the list easier. I would use this (tab for Game staff, tab for former staff, probably a tab for ticket vols, all so I can easily find those people quickly if I need to contact them). I don't think this is offensive in any way, and if someone did want to use it as a "best friends" and "lesser friends" type of thing, that is up to them and nobody else has to know... right?
  8. I'm very against this power... I think that there will be too many colours. A lot of namegrads/statuscolours are ugly and we don't need more of that. Really though, things look too crazy and cluttered with so many of these powers, and adding statusgrad will just make it even worse.
  9. This is a good idea, I think it could be expanded to hugs too in the future (which would be its own power with its own store, just as you've suggested here for kisses).
  10. Who you traded with is your info. If I trade with a user, I know they traded with me. This is my information. You previously suggested that we write it down on paper; is this now wrong because it's "their" information? It seems to me like you keep changing your reason as to why this isn't a good idea. This will be my last reply debating, since I doubt it will happen anyway, but I think there are some cons but they are outweighed by the pros. So I support it. Also about the Trade feature on Fexbots, I think it's a really good idea and should be promoted more. I think it would be helpful.
  11. I asked Jedi/Stah if they have ever got trade info from ticket before (I was genuinely curious not trying to be smart or something). They said yes. So, if this information is available through ticket, why would it not be automatically available for anyone who wants it? That would save volunteer time cause they wouldn't need to bother with those tickets. Even if they are few and far between. Is there some difference that I am missing?
  12. Or user Z can just ask users A B and C about their trade info, which is not something the average xat user keeps locked in a vault, and phish them just the same. Also, if a user is known to have been phished and there's a risk that his trade logs are out, ticket volunteers can ask user Z, as he tries to phish A B and C, about trades/transfers OTHER than with user X. They could disregard anything involving user X knowing that the information was made somewhat public. But once again, I reiterate my point that trade information is not that difficult to get from the average user anyway. The pros for this idea outweigh the cons easily, IMO.
  13. Since the data breach, it feels like xat fears adding new features or changing anything out of fear. NOT adding new features or improving the site out of fear that some data could be breached is a terrible solution to that problem. The data breach was a wake up call, it has happened once in how many years? And now that admins saw it happen I imagine replicating something like the breach will be much more difficult moving forward. Plus, don't volunteers/admins have this information anyway? If the reason it won't be added is out of fear of it being leaked, it could still be leaked now! With our trade and transfer logs, and with only us having access to them, the trade questions and "phishing" questions can still be asked. This suggestion says that ONLY YOU would have access to your logs. I don't know why you (and others) keep bringing up that other users shouldn't have access to this info. They won't, and even if they somehow did, they did have this information for years and nobody complained. xat can't avoid improving their site out of fear of something happening... the only way the site is going to gain more users and keep its current users is by constantly improving and competing with the increasing amount of competition. The focus should be on improving. In the real world, this information is available... should we remove financial logs/data in real life due to people "targeting" others? Obviously not, I don't think anyone on earth would say that is a good idea. So why block it on xat?
  14. There's really no reason this shouldn't be added... as Stah has pointed out, it doesn't help people get into other peoples accounts at all since you need to be in the account in the first place to access the log. I also agree with Techy, things that seem to be simple always seem to be made unnecessarily complicated. You can still ask about this stuff on tickets, it doesn't prohibit that.
  15. If a mod is this lazy, I don't want them modding my chat People mock Help staff/users for using macros to help people (I agree it's stupid to use macros; if your definition of "helping" a user is simply sending a pre-written phrase, you might as well just set up a bot with responses and have no mods). I feel the same about kicking and banning. It just makes the mods more lazy and if they're so lazy that they can't type a reason themselves, why are they a mod in the first place? Not to mention, a long reason isn't usually necessary (often times "inapp" is sufficient enough because all of xat knows what it means). I don't think it's a terrible idea for a function power (as some of these have been pretty pointless), but only if xat is really desperate...
  16. Forget watching this... who in the world would take the time to MAKE this?
  17. On Saturday we will be playing Geoguessr! In this game, you are placed somewhere random in the world (on Google Maps) and you have a certain amount of time to figure out where in the world you are and locate yourself on a map. The closer you are, the more points you get. The vegetation, road conditions, road paint markings, cars, and especially signs can help you figure out where you are. Since we have no way to stop you from Googling, Googling will be allowed, but the time limit will not be very long so you probably won't have enough time. The winner will win 1000 xats. Saturday April 23, 3:00 PM EDT (current New York time)/20:00 GMT+1 (current London time). Sunday will be normal Gamebot games at the same time. Good luck and happy Earth day!

  19. Hi, my name is @Elie and I hate cats.
  20. hi my name is @Eleven and I like bumping people excessively
  21. If I want to sell a hammer on ebay for $10000, I can do it. If I want to sell purple on trade for 300k, I can do it (unless of course it's truly ridiculous and an obvious troll). In both situations, nobody will buy what I'm selling, but I shouldn't be punished for trying. Nothing new should be enforced. Like Stah said, it is a guide, not a rule. I do think it would be good to update it more though.
  22. Google it... it has an actual meaning, and it is what Arthur said. That's what it means, that's how it's being used here, that's what it is... a volunteer or mod or admin would tell you the exact same thing.
