A bot shouldn't be considered as a member of staff because a bot can't moderate the chat like a regular staff member should, especially for situations related to drama/trolling.
The rule is fine as it is and it doesn't need to be changed.

On the first day of the new month, someone from the Contributor group will post a thread providing a summary for discussions that were discussed in the Contributor section during the previous month. This is to allow the community to be more informed and have a better understanding of the Contributor group. These logs will be closed for the time being.
If you do have any concerns or suggestions that you would like to be brought to the attention of the Contributor group, message any of the Contributors and I'm sure they'd be happy to bring it up for discussion if deemed necessary.

Mundoxat Chat Inactivity
SpoilerContributors were asked whether or not to keep Mundoxat chat as a tribute chat. It seems the chat was left ownerless for months and some contributors reported the fact there were no events in the past 15 days. Moreover, the chat currently doesn't have backgrounds and is for members only (while no one is here to member users). Nevertheless, the respective blogs of Mundoxat didn't have any news since June 2016. Therefore, the contributors group concluded that Mundoxat will no longer be listed as a Tribute chat on the Chats wiki page. However, the websites are still considered useful External Resources.
Volunteer Emeritus
SpoilerThe topic of this group's existence and who should be included in it was a major talking point in the month of October. There was much debate and fair arguments from users on both sides. It was ultimately decided by administrators that the group would be removed completely. An option to leave the group in place was offered by administrators, but the responsibilities involved with this option were too great to overcome the desire to keep the group. Thus, the group was removed. People in the Volunteer Emeritus group were moved to either the Member or Advanced Member groups, depending on their activity level. Some former volunteers may remain as contributors, based on their activity level.
Bot Owners Group Name
SpoilerThis topic was created for clarity regarding the Bot Service Providers (formerly Bot Owners) group. Because contributors felt that the old group name was confusing and didn't indicate to users whether the person in the group was the owner of a bot company or not, the group name and badge associated with it were changed. The name of the group is now Bot Service Providers and the badge associated with it is now Bot Provider.
Contributors Section Readable by All
SpoilerA topic was recently brought up in regards to making the contributor section more open with the community. We all came to an agreed conclusion that the contributor group would offer a monthly log providing a brief summary of topics that were concluded in that month. This was decided in order for the community to have a better understanding of the contributor group and also allow them to offer any feedback and/or concerns they may have.
Aide Chat Inactivity
SpoilerAide, the official French help chat, has been inactive for a number of months. Only four events were recorded within the final two weeks prior to the discussion. A poll was created, which included options to appoint a new manager, redirect it to Assistance chat, let volunteers run it, and to take no action at all. 16 contributors voted in total, and all chose to direct the chat to Assistance, following the examples of Pomoc, Ndim and Ajutor in the recent past. No counterarguments were raised.

More Image Provider Options for Promotion Banners
SpoilerIt has come to our attention that xat is lacking in image provider options when it comes to promoting banners, to solve this issue we listed a few alternatives that could be added such as Hızlı Resim, Imgur, Postimage, Uploads.im and Cubeupload. Another suggestion that was brought up was to allow users to upload images from their own devices. The topic is currently ongoing and we would be happy to hear any suggestions you have in regards to alternative image providers.
xat Facebook
SpoilerAt the initiative of a contributor, the xat Facebook and the xat Twitter buttons were added at the top right of the forum. It was also suggested that xat makes more promotion about the Facebook page, which currently has 700 likes, on the website. To post more content on the page, the possibility of promoting xat.chat (owned by xat) content was brought up. On the one hand, it allows more internal promotion on xat, on the other hand, some contributors were afraid to promote content that criticizes xat. Feel free to comment to share your mind or give suggestions for the Facebook page.

I'm against this suggestion. Unless the deceased person had given permission prior to their death, I see no reason for anything to be transferred to any accounts. The only way I see this actually being acceptable would be if any possessions on the account were transferred to a relatives account which seems very unlikely.

Feel free to remove the title because the only benefit it offers is the lovely colour that comes with it.
Let me make this clear, the titles are practically worthless. A title doesn't represent the hard work that someone has done, it's just there for show.
We know you've worked hard, we know you were volunteer and we know you cared about the site. Do you really need a title that badly? A title isn't going to make you feel any better about the situation.

How do you feel about xat?

I haven't really been on xat in the past few months and I don't really intend to use it much at all in the future. There's not really anything to keep me interested in the website besides a few people I talk to, but most of them use Discord which imo is better than xat rn. Not that I'm saying that xat is bad, but I don't really see anything that would make me want to stay.
The powers seem repetitive and rushed. I'm not saying that the Smiley makers aren't doing a good job, but they need to be given more time to create these powers to actually make users want to buy them powers and not just to keep everypower.
The ticket system is meh. I'm not blaming the volunteers at all here, if anything they deserve some credit for sticking around despite xat being in this dying state. I'm pretty sure someones thinking "volunteers only care about the title" but let's be real here, who the cares about a title on a site that's slowly dying? No one. Alright, someone probably does, but there's really nothing motivating about having the title besides a few people being more friendly towards you lol.
As for ticket delays, put yourselves in the volunteers shoes. They don't get paid, if they do it's a test power for 100 replies or so. Instead of having people volunteer their time to answer tickets with no motivation whatsoever, hire some actual staff who would get paid and I'm sure that would solve a number of problems with the ticket system.
As for HTML5 coming out, if I'm entirely honest I'm not really interested in that or expect too much to be gained from it. I get that people worked hard and even the admins seem somewhat interested, but I don't see it keeping xat alive in its current state. If this was decided a bit earlier, then it would probably have been more effective in keeping previous users, but now it seems a little bit late. If you're lucky it could help bring in some new users and make xat more modern, but I guess you'll have to wait and see.
