I want to reiterate on this a bit. I think there are a few ways this could be done.
Instance 1: Storing the PC messages for however long (maybe 24-48 hours) even if you’ve refreshed the page; on top of a list of the users you’ve private messaged with recently.
This would save a lot of “did you say something?” or “what did you say? I refreshed”
Instance 2: Only a list of users you’ve PC’d recently. Something like how tickle is, just a user list of users you’ve private chatted with recently.
Still helpful for finding a user you interacted with recently, but forgot their name/ID.
Instance 2 wouldn’t be as helpful as 1, but it could still help a fair bit compared to neither. I go through this almost on a daily basis.
@Matthew has a good point as well. Although you could use browser history, it would still be nice to have.
A “Recents” tab, as he suggested, that could have subsections such as “Groups” and “Users” - groups being ones you’ve visited recently, while users is the people you’ve private chatted with recently.
