  1. An improved trade system with allpowers and everypowers check, and a search function. Maybe not exactly what users want, but we can't complain!
  2. Let's just say it was a very significant problem. People got scammed almost daily from this method. The update will cause hassle for some people, but many others will be safe from this scam method in the future. Having to restart the trade application completely was not an intended feature and will hopefully be changed soon.
  3. It clears everything from the application, but it doesn't allow you to re-add the stuff unless you restart the trade application. I'm not sure what you mean by it closing. It doesn't close the application, and you don't need to clear your cache. You simply need to restart the trade application.
  4. I beg the smiley makers to re-do the rolleyes smiley. With the new style, it was completely destroyed. I actually feel like the meaning of the smiley changed. Why can't it just be identical to the previous design, but with the newer style? Here is the previous design:
  5. That's like saying that if they don't fix any issue, they don't care. That's absurd. Obviously there are higher priorities.
  6. This has been around for as long as I can remember, and it applies to more than just the purple power. I highly doubt it's being worked on. I'm sure there's some blanket rule in place such that when an owner is in stealth, it hides their pawn. Stealth was programmed before these special powers were, so it wasn't changed to account for these powers.
  7. I really can't imagine that people would enjoy a power whose central theme relies on a disastrous virus. Perhaps we can disagree with the name and keep it as a general bug-related power.
  8. One thing I know for sure is that the thousands of users you've come across over the years are appreciative of the things you've done to help keep xat a safe place!
  9. @Karl What would be done to distinguish the groups? Why is there a need for more? Someone else recently mentioned that there should be more groups. I think people need to keep in mind that Members and Advanced Members are actual user groups, not ranks. Every time a new group is added, permissions have to be customized for the group. It's time consuming and groups are not meant to be used in such a way where they are representative of ranks. This is why I think the Advanced Members group is enough. @Lemona The color was not meant to be drastically different. This is by design. There really isn't much of a difference between the two. The only difference is that people in Advanced Members have a few more permissions, such as the ability to use a signature. It also doesn't take that much work to get into the Advanced Members group (just another reason drastic color differences aren't necessary). @Flake There's no easy way to just reset reputation. Even if reputation is manually adjusted per user, rebuilding reputation at a later date in the AdminCP would cause it to be recounted, effectively making manual edits useless. Since 71.7% of people (at the time of this post) like the recent reputation system changes or are neutral, I think we have found a place where it's good to just be left alone. With the leaderboard gone, there's also no strong incentive to abuse any longer. Things have cooled down, and hopefully the drama around this has too.
  10. Now that the new forum has been here for a few weeks, how do you like it so far? What still needs to be changed?
  11. It already works like that, except one down vote is equal to one reputation point subtracted from your total.
  12. I think people also need to realize that you shouldn't down vote if you don't like something. That's not how it works. You down vote if it doesn't add to the conversation.
  13. Yet another issue with the index page.
  14. I don't think it's necessary to disable the reputation system. I honestly can't believe the amount of drama this is creating. Luckily, there is a new rule to address reputation abuse. There really isn't a reason that anybody should be asking for reputation. If a user likes your post, they will like it. You shouldn't need to beg to be at the top of the leaderboard. Perhaps the leaderboard can be removed completely. Apparently there was an issue where not all members could dislike posts. This was fixed recently.
  15. This has been fixed.
  16. There wouldn't be a limit if users didn't constantly ask other users for reputation. I suppose if you run out of reputation to give out, you can just give a reasonable and thoughtful reply instead!
  17. This feature doesn't exist, so there's nothing I can do about it. I can suggest it to IPS though.
  18. I agree we can just count those useless replies as spam.
  19. It might seem confusing, but it is intended. The Volunteer Emeriti group is for respected volunteers who are retired. It's a group that may not stay. Here is an example.
  20. And replacing it with what?
  21. I was told that the limits have been changed to 1024 kB (1 MB).
  22. There is no upgrade available right now. I believe it is related to something else. Guinho is right that there is one thing being worked on with IPS, but I'm not exactly sure what issues it will resolve once it's figured out. It's just apparent that there are bad errors in the logs. Hopefully it's fixed soon.
  23. Due to a few suggestions, a few things were changed: You can now use external images. There's no longer a requirement to upload images. When you paste the image link, it will automatically be inserted into the post. A few buttons were added to the editor, but a source button cannot be edited. That would require the user to have HTML editing capabilities, and that's not an option. The issues with staying signed in on all pages is being worked on. It's not a bug with the forum. This post may be updated if things are changed in the future.

    Can't Login?

If anyone else comes across E46, you'll most likely need to create a ticket or contact a volunteer to get the account fixed.
  25. If you're still experiencing this issue, please try clearing your cookies and then login again. I believe both issues are now fixed (logging in without going to a separate page, and staying logged in).
