    Big thanks to @Zoomey for hosting the contest. I won 9k but ended up giving 6k away to my friends at the chat, and it was a lot of fun! I'm glad we got to do something fun during quarantine.

  2. Your best option would be to use the search feature that xat has. You can input keywords that pertain to your particular interests, to see if anyone else is talking about them too: https://xat.com/search

     

    Otherwise, you may consider checking https://xat.com to see if any chats you’re looking for pop up under the “Popular” or “Supported” tabs.

    Reserves are not normally increased on your account unless you buy xats from the buy page using a potentially refundable method of purchase. Reserves decrease a certain amount each day until completely expired.

     

    If you have not bought xats in a long time and would like to appeal for your reserve to be reduced, you may open a ticket in the help department of "Payment Problems", as Stifler suggested. 

     

    Please know there is no guarantee for that, but we could at least look into it for you.

  5. This has been reported here, it seems like an occasional bug, albeit difficult to reproduce: 

    Please follow the advice that Vevrok gave and clear your browser's cache. Doing so may result in you being able to submit the report successfully.

    If you're receiving "E29" when you try to login to your xat account due to switching your home location, you'll need a ticket opened for you. You cannot open one by yourself.

     

    Please PM me the following information:

    • Registered username
    • Identification number
    • Associated E-mail Address

    From there I will be able to open a ticket for you. Otherwise, you may use this form: https://forum.xat.com/requests/open-a-ticket/?do=form

     

    Once a ticket has been opened for you, you simply need to answer the security questions that we ask, the whole process should take less than 3 days in most cases. 

  7. The only thing stopping this from happening would be finding an IPS plugin that is compatible with the current IPS forum version that xat is using. 

     

    I really would like to see a "Dark Mode" implemented though, I use it on any platform that offers it, Reddit, Discord, etc.

    It is completely up to you whether or not you would like to agree to that deal. 

     

    Please know the xats do not go directly to any volunteer, but rather directly back to xat (think of it like buying the blueman power in the store.) 

     

    If you do not agree with paying 1000 xats, you simply just need to state you’d like for your ticket to be closed.

  9. I agree with your suggestion 100%, Joseph. In terms of user experience, this new change is an eyesore. I understand that for the moment it may be the "easiest" option in terms of non-spaghettifying the way the chatbox works on HTML5, but I beg the old saying: 

    if it ain't broke, don't fix it

    I believe the developers and administrators of xat should consider moving listening if Joseph's suggestion is to gain enough support and traction. This is a completely horrid change and I'd rather just not have tickle.

    Your ticket was already opened. Please check your email’s inbox for a link you can use to reply.

     

    Ticket replies generally take 1-3 days in that department, albeit a bit less lately.

     

    Yes, your account will be held for 7 days afterwards.
