  4. I actually really like this idea, but I can't think of a way to streamline going back and making this work with every smiley ever created. As far as I know, once the smiley is finished, all layers are merged and become one. (This is not always the case, like the hands on (flip), or the camera on the (photo) smiley). But as far as I know, all the frames on the (random) smiley are merged, so it'd be difficult to go back and make it so you could isolate one of them. Possible, but tedious, and I'd imagine the work being put into it would not be enough to warrant the power being made. But here's to hoping!

  6. We give test powers out occasionally to forum helpers, actually. (And have been for years upon years) The problem with a points based system is that it could be easily spoofed with multiple accounts and your friends. If you lock it to forum staff only, then that's actually what already happens. We compile a list of forum helpers who consistently help, give quality answers regularly, and don't give a lot of incorrect info from all 3 sections. The main point is that we look for quality help. If you give really dry, short answers that are devoid of content/explicit instructions, it's generally not worth as much as a response that's well thought out and can easily help a user. I'm not sure xat would be that interested in giving away powers such as big or namecolor. Generally, epics aren't given as test powers.

    Sorry to be redundant but can you explain what you mean by “the group is deleted”? Like... save the spaces/alt255s and then you save, go to the chat, and then visit the chat, and you’re redirected to xat.com?

  14. One thing I take issue with is the main owner(s) banning users for things that either did not happen on xat, or for things that upset them. I was unfairly foreverbanned several weeks ago from the social chat because I refused to unban someone from the Help chat. To protect that user’s best interests, I will not discuss the details of the ban on Help, but I will discuss why I believe it makes Social look very unprofessional. Disclaimer: I have since been unbanned and “apologized” to, but I believe my points will stand... Just because you may have an issue with someone’s actions on another chat, or even another social media platform, does not permit you to take your untamed anger out on them on an official chat. If it were your own personal chat, I would have no issues with that. But banning a user forever, then proceeding to ban evade on Help, flame me and exploit in the main chat of help not only makes the chat look severely unprofessional, but also the staff of the chat. There is a time and place for personal vendettas, and using official chats as a medium for them is not a mature way to handle things. This type of behavior is not new, I might add. It has happened in the past, and while I may sound overly negative here, I sincerely do believe it will continue to happen in the future. Official chat managers should remain professional and deal with their personal affairs off of the chat that they’ve chosen to manage.

  21. This thread serves no purpose being open anymore. Please only open support topics for serious inquiries. No, there is absolutely no rule as to what gender avatar that someone has to use. Anyone who is bothered by that sort of thing can use a macro that can adjust your settings so that you don’t see display avatars.
