  • Pools privacy issues when the chatroom stores messages

    I saw this issue a while ago.

    When the option to store the chatroom messages is enabled, everything you type in the staff pool, would be visible on the main pool, for everyone after signing out and back in. That is a privacy issues for the staff of a certain chatroom if they use to keep staff meeting in chat staff pool or talk sensitive information.

    Steps to reproduce bug: 1. Send message in the staff pool.
    2. Go back on main and all messages sent in staff pool would appear for everyone (from guests to main owners).

    He doesn't mention this, but these messages are also visible to other members of the chat if they refresh the page or sign out and back in. Even if they do not have the rank set in rankpool settings.

    Won't Fix The issue will not be fixed because it is too low in priority. The issue is very minor. The resources required to fix the issue cannot justify the benefits received from fixing the issue. This means the issue is closed.
