  • Unable to use/signin to existing account on Site

    I have been using xat for years but in the last month, it no longer works for site: videobrother.net

    I'm constantly getting the following error when I click to change my name in the chat:

     

    Connection problem. You could try to start chat again.  Sorry (AT)

     

    This is becoming rather unnerving not to say that I'm now refusing to sign into any of these chats

     

    Suggestions.

    I'm not quite sure what you mean by xat no longer works for the site you posted. Have you been trying to embed a chat onto that website?

     

    If you go to xat.com/Lobby and try to connect (independent of that videobrother site you posted), do you still get the Automatic Timeout error? 

     

    Are you logged in anywhere else? Another computer, maybe in your household etc.

    I highly recommend you to change http to https on your embed code, that is added on your website,

     

    A few days ago I received the same error and fixed just doing that.

     

    I'm sure it happened because of the ip2's file.

    Since a good amount of time has passed without any further response, I'm assuming this issue was fixed by now.

     

    A solution could be simply re-adding the embed code for your chat group.

     

    If you'd clash into this again, feel free to open a new bug.

    Closed This record is either not considered an issue or is better suited as a suggestion. If it is an issue, it may not be reproducible.

    Won't Fix The issue will not be fixed because it is too low in priority. The issue is very minor. The resources required to fix the issue cannot justify the benefits received from fixing the issue. This means the issue is closed.
