  • Banpool issue

    Masha
    • Status: Fixed Priority: High

Noticing that when users are being banned they aren't being directed to the banpool and are showing up as banned/banished in the main pool. I've checked banpool power and its assigned, nothing was/has changed and this has persisted since this morning (07/07/2021). Please verify on your end if this is an issue that is exclusive to one chat or if this is happening at other chats too,

    Thank you

Banish and Rankpool are assigned correctly too, incase you were wondering. Everything was always working fine until this morning

    Steps to reproduce bug:

There are no steps needed to be listed to reproduce the bug. You simply ban someone and they're expected to go to banpool, providing that the power is assigned and working. Screenshots show the ban and the user still staying in the main pool. I've tried this on 1 hour ban too by the way, same result. There are also forever banned users being able to watch the chat.

This is definitely a bug on xat's side (I just had the same experience), and to add onto it:

If you get banned or banished, you're able to go into the banpool and you'll be stuck there, unless you refresh. Refreshing will put the banned/banished user back into main chat.

Also after being unbanned, you would have to refresh the chat otherwise you won't see any messages sent.

Bug confirmed. Thank you for reporting.

An update will be posted here once it's fixed.

If you find anything else related to this bug, please reply to this post. For those who are using autoban on their chats, we advise turning off this feature until it's fixed.
